The new field of biomimetics (or bionics or biomimicry) has been booming in the past decade, but unfortunately the opportunity of a gaining formal university education in the field is still limited. In the following I have listed the degrees and universities, I am aware of, that offer a full taught degree in biomimetics at the undergraduate or postgraduate level (note that more universities offer biomimetics related MSc by research or PhD degrees – to locate those you should search for active biomimetics research groups).
I suspect (hope) that this short list is incomplete, so if you are aware of other degree programmes anywhere in the world not listed below, please get in touch with me linking to the programme website and I will add it. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
